This landscape and pool project designed and built by Landart is a testament to what can be achieved with an open space. The original rear garden had a tennis court and was raised a metre or more above the level of the house immediately outside the back door. The landscape design intent was to resolve the level change in an inviting, open way that softened the transition between the house and the garden and opened up the rear garden to create an interesting outlook from the house. We used the natural levels to minimise excavation and resolved the level change with steps and a pool spillover. Contemporary finishes and techniques were mixed with classic to achieve this elegant outcome. We believe the use of spaces is balanced and there is intrigue in each area that invites you to explore, sit and enjoy some quiet time. Also when in the mood it easily converts to the most amazing entertaining space for all ages.
The owners of this property wanted to enhance their Hacienda style waterfront home with a garden design that linked their central courtyard to the rear of the property that looks over the water. Both areas are used a lot depending on the time of year. The unique paving design leads your eye from the entrance courtyard area all the way to the back entertaining area. The weathered hardwood is represented from the first entrance point all the way through. A bespoke landscape design that enhances the characteristics of the home.
Contemporary garden design at its best. For a small block this garden design certainly feels spacious. The ‘open to anything’ attitude of the client opened up our creativity to bring to life this sanctuary that manages to provide complete privacy from the neighbours. After a splash in the pool the intimate sunken lounge area is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks with the outdoor kitchen including mobile pizza oven not far away. This is a true example of blurring the divide between inside and out…both as comfortable and inviting as each other.
Balgowlah Garden Design & Pool Design.
We were blessed to be given the opportunity of designing and building this pool and landscape for one of the most inspiring couples we have ever had the pleasure to work with. The clients wanted a stylish and elegant space that complemented the architecture of their home. Landart landscapes garden and pool design raised the pool to create interesting level changes throughout the garden. Facilitating a unique design opportunity to hide most of the pool fence so the different areas within the space did not feel divided or separated in anyway.
Castle Cove Garden and Pool Design
A sloping site enabled us to create an inviting landscape with interest. Raising the pool out of the ground brought up the levels along the back boundary making it more in line with the house. Using the existing floor level we designed a sunken entertaining space that provides interest with level change, intimacy and privacy from the neighbours and a clearer connection to the pool and spa. The lovely owners of this house were very adventurous and trusting in our design and now spend many hours entertaining and lounging about in a private, tranquil retreat whilst watching their children spend hours on end in the pool.
Manly Garden Design & Pool Design
The planting palette of this coastal garden design is a mixture of endemic species along side exotic plants that provide structural and textural contrast as well as a beautiful coastal feel.
The architecture and aspect dictated the front garden with a structured layout and a raised veggie patch to provide maximum yield.
While the back garden has a more relaxed coastal feeling with white-washed timber, azure blue pool and plenty of room to entertain or simply put your feet up and enjoy your favorite book.
Curl Curl Garden Design
The owners of this contemporary coastal home wanted a natural-looking garden with native plantings to tie in with the natural bush of the surrounding headland.
The relaxed outdoor living area and materials selection complements the planting design. The overall effect is stunning in this Sydney Coastal Garden Design.
Elizabeth Bay Balcony Design
The owner of this apartment wanted a functional and impressive balcony that could be enjoyed all year round.
The boats on nearby Rushcutters Bay provided the design inspiration for the boat-style seating and timber decking. The fish tank completes the theme, creating a colourful living focal point both day and night.
This breathtaking Sydney Balcony Design now commands your attention.
Classic Landscape Design
There were a couple of challenges we had to overcome in order to construct this Classic Landscape Design.
We had to demolish an existing bathroom off the side of the house to allow for bobcat and excavator access to remove the old cabana and pool. Also, because the earth on site was so sandy, we had to install many reinforced steel piers.
Overall, these hurdles only made the rewards of the finished garden’s beautiful design and workmanship even greater.
Garden Design Waverton
The owners of this period home wanted a rambling, unstructured approach to the design of their garden that would mature to become even more appealing, reminding them of an English common.
Their ultimate desire was to sip on a relaxing cup of tea from their verandah and enjoy an open outlook with intriguing places that were discovered only after a curious meander around the garden.
Terrey Hills Landscape Design
This is a very exciting project to Landart as the clients are adventurous and were trusting in Landart’s ability to provide a beautifully crafted landscape. This was also the second time they had engaged us to landscape their home.
The clients were keen to explore a unique design vision, including a cantilevered boardwalk extending out into the middle of the pool. The planting in this Rural Landscape Design needed careful consideration as it had to mix with the existing, more exotic garden and blend in with the surrounding bushland and native outlook, whilst not being eaten by the abundance of wallabies that entered the property every evening. A blend of native and exotic plants provides wonderful textural contrast and complements the hardwood timber decks and seats, sandstone walls and rocky outcrops.
The garden is now a beautiful space to contemplate from within the various seating areas, to view from within the house, or to simply walk through on your way to other areas of the property. This garden will be a true joy to watch evolve and mature.
Curl Curl Landscape Design
To create the ultimate Entertainers Landscape Design it was hard to not draw on some inspiration from LA.
The stunning combination of timber and concrete is softened and complimented with free flowing native grasses. The two giant succulents help make this space soft and sculptural whilst the remote control back rests in the day bed help set the scene for relaxation and Sunday mojitos.
Pool & Garden Design Freshwater
It was only natural that the inspiring young owners of this amazing house sought a garden to match.
The natural fluidity of the lounge room opening out onto the Contemporary Pool Design and swim up bar was sustained throughout the landscape. Notice the Landart-designed deck at the end of the pool, curving up with ease to create a tranquil retreat to sit back and take in the vibe.
Waterfront Garden Design Newport
The design brief for this Sydney Waterfront Garden Design was to visually connect the house to the natural surrounds, as well as to create a more inviting, cooler entertaining area. We introduced quality hardwood timbers to achieve this giving the house a more natural feel.
The exterior colour of the house was carefully selected to complement the rich tones of the timber; the planting combination of natives and exotics add life to the picture. The result is one of synthesis and relaxing ambience.
Sydney Coastal Garden Design
Timber, natural hand-shaped stone and a relaxed planting scheme all support the design of this garden, giving the whole dwelling an earthy, organic feel.
Growing well in the Castlecrag area, the combination of native and exotic plants exudes beautiful contrasts of year round colour and a pleasant diversity in foliage contours.
Classic Garden Design
This garden was designed with a view to creating a formal yet relaxing space, incorporating water elements to enhance the style.
The structural planting beautifully frames the soft seasonal planting, creating year-round interest and appeal.
Private and sophisticated, the garden complements the style of the home perfectly.
Classic Garden Design Rosebay
This is a true Landart Landscape. The owners of this beautiful house requested a seamless flow – a garden that would naturally entice further exploration from the inside to the outside of their home.
Different levels and sections offered only an enclosed and constricted garden, so Landart set to work opening up the entire area. By turning levels into features, utilising water and urns to merge back and side gardens together and through the clever placement of mirrors, an open space emerges, creating wonder and intrigue. This is truly a Classic Sydney Garden Design.
Garden Design Vaucluse
A classical garden with a contemporary feel was the design intent to compliment and complete this grand new house.
Clipped hedges are combined with informal exotics and water to provide a relaxed, but nurturing ambiance. A excellent example of Contemporary Landscape Design.
Garden Design Rosebay
In this Entertainers Garden Design, balancing the needs of both kids and adults in a family in general can be tricky. Landart creates a practical, yet attractive space, where children roam free in an open, level garden and adults can relax, assured they wont be consumed by a plastic, primary coloured playground. High borders of walls and trees distract the eye down the garden and the glass pool fence assists in opening and enlarging the garden space for the whole family to enjoy.
Garden Design Waverton
In this Relaxed Contemporary Garden Design with a natural watercourse running though it, the designer of this garden was inspired to create a dry riverbed, complete with a floating hardwood timber walkway and entertaining area surrounded by natural grasses and textured perennials.
Comfortable and eye catching, this garden has the ability to change all year round.
